Tasting an excellent wine can become a perfect occasion to practice mindfulness and enjoy every single aspect of the experience. You can’t buy happiness but you can buy wine and that’s kind of the same thing.
On July 2, 2022 we were honored to host a private booking wine tasting event for about 10 guests
and the experience was breathtaking. With a total of 4 bottles of different wine present you could think its all about wine but soon you’d realize it was all about the fun and the interaction. Kevin our own sommelier was our host for the day,
he delicately introduced to us each wine. With each take-through and sips, our vision became clearer and our hearts embraced the moment with unmatched predilection.
Four bottles of various wines were present, each displaying a different array of flavors. Blanc Peche, Rose strawberry & pineapples, sex on the beach, and pink grapefruit were among the wines available for tasting.
We learnt a lot about wines from how they are made, stored and also best ways to pair wines with food. For some it was their first wine tasting experience and they were excited about it. Having the first sip of the Blanc Peche wine we could smell its soft and sweet fragrance.
“Blanc is one of the world’s most popular white wine, prized for its distinct citrusy, fruity aroma and refreshingly high acidity. To highlight it’s refreshing qualities, it should be served ice cold,”
Kevin – Le Decanter’s Sommelier
The second glass of wine was Sex on the Beach. It is a refreshing, fruity cocktail and perfect for the summer. It’s deliciously sweet and seriously refreshing, made with vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice, and cranberry juice. A sip of it transports you to the beach, giving you summer vibes.
We tasted the Rose Strawberries and Pineapples and found it to be a
supper chilled wine for an easy, boozy slushy that quenches your grownup summer thirst. The rose remains discreet with the shimmering color of the bottle reminded us of its presence.
On the other hand, pink grapefruit has a silky robe of powdery taffetas, its color is reminiscent of the juicy flesh of the fruit. The wine tastes light, smooth and fruity-not too tart, with a hint of citrus sweetness. Its bouquet is pure grapefruit. The alcohol content is low, only 8.5% making it easy to drink.
We don’t have to meet in the same old joints with it’s old fashioned way of unwinding all the time! I’d advise people to try and think out of the box when it comes to hanging out, expand some of your hanging out ideas and explore wide enough to incorporate these new and exciting ways to enjoy the company of family and friends.
